64-year-old Jeffery Proffitt and 54-year-old Juanita Proffitt are charged with felony financial exploitation of an elderly person and stealing at $25,000. The two allegedly took over $200,000 from Jeffery Proffitt’s mother from July 2019 through August 20221. The trial will begin on November 29. Jeffrey Proffitt allegedly said he planned to have his mother living with them “until she was gone,” and accordingly thought they could spend the money.
