Three charges have been dropped against a woman from Thayer accused of killing a man in June of 2017.
41 year old Cynthia Willman was in court on September 4th and entered am Alford Plea to felony charges of first degree involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action. Charges of Assault, possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of child were all dropped. The dropped charges are related to incidents that allegedly occurred while Willman was out of jail on bond. In July, just 4 days after Willman posted bond Thayer officers were called to a report that Willman punched a woman in the face. During the investigation officers found a plastic bag of a substance that field tested positive for meth. The baggie was lying on the floor in plain view while two children were present. Willman’s Husband, 37 year old Adam Duane Willman was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child. He is set to go to trial October 30th. Willman again posted bond and was released, but was arrested a week later when she was deemed a danger to the public. Her bond was increased to $250,000 She was arrested again on December 3rd 2017 for domestic assault and bond was increased to $1 million.
Willman was sentenced to 10 years on the manslaughter charge and 5 years for armed criminal action with the sentences to run concurrently.
