The Highway Patrol reports that 41-year-old Adam Apel was injured when he crossed the center line and hit the towed unit of a truck driven by 30-year-old James Honeycutt of West Plains. Honeycutt was not injured. Apel was flown to Cox South in Springfield. The accident happened on Missouri 14, eight miles west of West Plains.
