The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 25-year-old Mason Morpeth was killed when a trailer detached from another vehicle, crossed the center line and hit the driver’s side door of the truck that Morpeth was driving. The driver of the other vehicle, 52-year-old Scottie Plumb of Ava was not injured. The accident happened on Missouri 14, eleven miles east of Ava.
