The St. Louis Cardinals lost down in Dixie yesterday to the Atlanta Braves 7-3, but hang on to their lead in the Wildcard race. The Cards did take 2 of 3 games in the series, and will have an off day today, before opening a series with the Giants at Busch on Friday. Colorado lost to the Dodgers last night, so the Cardinals remains 1 ½ games ahead of the Rockies in the #2 Wildcard slot in the playoff race.
The Kansas City Royals got swept out of Pittsburgh last night, losing 2-1 for a second straight game. The Royals will open a series in Detroit tonight.
