A woman from Midway Arkansas has been arrested for battery on a Child. 20 year old Samantha Sue Laverty is charged with felony second degree battery and 2 felony counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. The Child that Laverty allegedly beat suffered a broken bone and numerous areas of bruising. The Child was taken to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. Laverty is being held on $25,000 bond. She will be in court September 27th to answer the charges.
