Captain Bruce D. Fiske, commanding officer of Troop G, Willow Springs, announces the following Troop G promotion effective July 1, 2023.
Corporal Matthew J. Chastain will be promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated the zone supervisor of Zone 8, Carter, and Reynolds counties. Chastain was appointed to the Patrol on January 2, 2017. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop G, Zone 4, Northern Howell, and Shannon counties. On June 1, 2022, Chastain was promoted to the rank of Corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 8, Carter, and Reynolds counties. Sergeant Chastain is a native of Marshfield, Missouri. He is a graduate of Conway High School and attended College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice.
