The Highway Patrol reports that 68-year-old Peter Metroplas suffered serious injuries when his vehicle was hit in the side by a dump truck as he attempted to make a turn on Highway 14. The driver of the Dump Truck, 70-year-old Owen Jackson was not injured. The accident happened on Highway 14 at Highway 181. Metroplas was flown to Cox South in Springfield.
