Everett Collins and Samuel Detherage Jr were both arrested after police received a report of a man with a firearm. The police conducted a traffic stop and during the stop, they found drugs and found a .40 caliber pistol, then served a search warrant at Detherage’s residence, where they allegedly found more drugs and paraphernalia. Collins is charged with possession of a controlled substance. He pled not guilty and was released on $5,000 bond. Detherage was charged with 1st-degree assault, third-degree assault, armed criminal action, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, unlawful use of a weapon-exhibiting, unlawful use of a weapon-possession, felony possession of a controlled substance, and delivery of a 35 grams or less of marijuana to a person less than 17 years old. He pled not guilty and was released on $50,000 bond.
