
The Howell County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a man Monday on several charges. Deputies responded to the area of County Road 8160 where a possible stolen vehicle was located. Upon their arrival to the area, they located the stolen vehicle being driven down the roadway. They initiated a traffic stop on the stolen vehicle and it began to flee and a pursuit ensued. Once the vehicle came to a stop the driver fled on foot but was soon apprehended. The driver, Ryan Kniess, was arrested and after a search of his person and belongings was found to be in possession of a Controlled Substance. Kniess was then transported to the Adult Detention Center and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges for Driving While Revoked, Resisting Arrest, and Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, and a $25,000 bond was issued.
