Charges of inappropriate sexual contact with young females have been dropped against a Mountain Home man. 34 year old Michael Byrd was in court last week and Judge John Putman said that insufficient evidence was the reason for the charges being dropped. Allegedly there was an unwillingness on the part of some of the people involved to pursue then to trial. Byrd had pled not guilty. The state retained the right the refile the charges and has 12 months to do so under law.
