A man from Salem was arrested for allegedly stealing a pickup in Plumerville Arkansas

30-year-old Edward Peter Hoyer is accused of taking the truck and driving back to Salem.  According to reports the Sheriff’s Department was called to a residence on Church Street in Salem, on Sunday. A woman had allegedly found a briefcase with documents that had a man’s name on them. She looked the man up on social media and found that he had reported his truck stolen Saturday night. Deputies then patrolled the area and found the truck in a driveway on Elm Street. Hoyer was in the house asleep and when deputies tried to wake him he tried to hit and kick them. The deputies then tased him and took him into custody. Hoyer is charged with felony theft by receiving and misdemeanor resisting arrests. His bond was set at $25,000.
