A manhunt is underway in Howell County. Authorities say the manhunt is in the area of South 17 and County Road 8290. Very little information is being released at this time, but they say the suspect is armed. Law enforcement is searching in a wooded area and a perimeter has been established. Authorities are asking that anyone who doesn’t live in the area, please seek an alternate route while the manhunt is in progress. Residents are encouraged to keep their vehicles and houses locked.
