
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Mike Wright threw for 85 yards and a touchdown, and he added 60 yards rushing in his first start of the season to help Mississippi State beat Arkansas 7-3 on Saturday.
Arkansas’ offense, ranked 118th in FBS in yards per game, struggled worse than usual, especially in the first half. The Razorbacks (2-6, 0-5) had just four first downs and 78 yards. The three first-half points came courtesy of a 26-yard field goal from Cam Little that capped a 29-yard drive after Arkansas started at the Bulldogs’ 35 following an interception on Mississippi State’s first series.
The Razorbacks are on a bye week.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Cody Schrader ran for 159 yards and two touchdowns and No. 20 Missouri sacked Spencer Rattler six times in a 34-12 victory over South Carolina on Saturday.
Missouri (7-1, 3-1 Southeastern Conference) has seven victories in its first eight games for the first time since 2013.
Missouri has a Bye week this week then is at No. 1 Georgia on Nov. 4.
JONESBORO, Ark. – Grayson McCall threw for 244 yards and two second-quarter touchdown passes to lead Coastal Carolina to a 27-17 win over Arkansas State on Saturday night.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Jordan Pachot threw four touchdown passes including the game-winner to Raylen Sharpe with 3:28 remaining in the third quarter and Missouri State held off Murray State for a 28-24 win on Saturday.
