41-year-old Joseph Grabanski and 33-year-old Jerry Smith are accused of throwing bodily fluids and waste on the guard. Both inmates allegedly admitted to the crimes. They are both charged with felony aggravated assault on a corrections officer. Grabanski was convicted of sexual assault in Saline County. He has 64 major guilty disciplinary violations in prison. Smith, who has 70 major guilty disciplinary violations since being locked up, is serving sentences for criminal attempt to commit murder, escape, and battery, all from Saline County.
