33-year-old Jesse Aaron Avant was first charged with rape but the charges were reduced to sexual indecency with a child during a recent court session. The victim who was a 14-year-old girl has told authorities that the acts were consensual. The case against Avant has been continued 13 times. Avant was already a registered sex offender before these charges were filed.
