
Thayer City Council met Tuesday evening at City Hall for their regular monthly meeting. The Council first approved the consent agenda. Then the Council heard from a citizen about barking dogs on Vine Street. Then a woman requested that the old Ambulance building be rezoned to residential since she is living there. The City Council told heard that would have to have a public hearing to rezone the property.
City Clerk Brent Collins gave an update on the property at Highway 63 and 19
Brandan Sikes then asked the council about renewing the Saddle Club’s lease, which the council did for 1 year. The City Council approved buying a vehicle for the Police Department to replace the one that was wrecked. They also agreed to buy a truck for the street department, they also approved the employee Christmas party, approved the paving of Walnut Street, and then tabled the issue with the lift station at Hirsch Feed. The Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month at City Hall
