
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The St. Louis Cardinals announced Tuesday they have signed free-agent right-handed pitcher Kyle Gibson to a one-year contract including a club option for 2025.
Thirty-six-year-old Gibson is an 11-year MLB veteran who owns a career record of 104-100 with a 4.54 ERA and 1,359 strikeouts over 1,696 innings. He has appeared in 300 career games, starting 294 games, combined between Minnesota, Texas, Philadelphia, and Baltimore.
ST. LOUIS, Mo.- The St Louis Cardinals also have announced that former Cardinal infielder Daniel Descalso will join their coaching staff. Descalso will be a bench coach for the Cardinals replacing Joe McEwing who will serve as a special assistant to John Mozeliak. The Cardinals say the team intends to make more additions to the coaching staff.
