The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department reports two arrests involving a stolen vehicle from Springfield. On Monday, the Sheriff’s Office received information about a suspicious U-Haul-type truck in the Goodhope area. 43-year-old Nathan Rogers of Springfield and 48-year-old Arneelia Cox of Branson were both arrested after it was confirmed that the vehicle was stolen. A second stolen vehicle was located at Roger’s residence. Rogers had an outstanding warrant from Christian County for failure to appear. While searching the vehicle, syringes and scales were located in the truck that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Both Rogers and Cox admitted to recent methamphetamine use.
On November 23, 2023, both the vehicles were reported stolen out of Springfield along with several firearms and several thousand dollars in tools.
Sheriff Degase and Deputies were able to recover one of the stolen firearms, tools and both stolen vehicles.
A warrant was issued for Nathan Rogers for
Stealing of a motor vehicle- Class D Felony
Stealing of a motor vehicle – Class D Felony
Stealing- $750 or more- Class D Felony
Stealing of a Firearm- Class D Felony
Unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon- Class D Felony
Possession of a Controlled Substance- Class D Felony
The bond was set at $25,000 cash only
A warrant was issued for Arnellia Cox for
Stealing of a motor vehicle- Class D Felony
Stealing of a motor vehicle – Class D Felony
Stealing- $750 or more- Class D Felony
Unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon- Class D Felony
Possession of a Controlled Substance- Class D Felony
Both subjects are still currently incarcerated in the Douglas County Jail.
Cox bond was set at $20,000 cash only.
