The stabbing death of a Horseshoe Bend man has the suspect in custody and charged with 1st Degree Murder. Sunday afternoon Izard County Deputies responded to a 911 call from the Gorby Community near Calico Rock. The caller told dispatch someone had been stabbed. When deputies and emergency personnel arrived they discovered 29 yr old Joseph Stefka with a stab wound to his chest. Stefka was pronounced dead at the Calico Rock Medical Center. A 22 yr old woman from Dolph was arrested at the scene. Cydney Taylor has been charged with 1st Degree Murder and is being held in the Izard County Jail in lieu of a $200,000 bond. The investigation continues by the sheriff’s department and the ASP. What lead to the stabbing has not been released.
