A man from Calico Rock has been arrested after allegedly fighting his father. 35 year old Nathaniel Allen Speak is charged with domestic battery. According to reports, Izard County Deputies responded to an assault off highway 5 north. The caller told them that her son had assaulted her husband. Speak’s 66 year old Father had several cuts on his face and was taken to the Calico Rock Medical Center. Speak’s mother told authorities that her son had been arguing with his father, Speak pushed his father then began hitting him. A neighbor was able to take Speak to the ground and hold him. When he let Speak up, he attempted to engage in fighting again. Speak’s bond was set at $15,000, and he is set to appear in Izard County Circuit Court later this month.
