A woman from Alton was killed and three people were seriously injured in a two vehicle accident Friday morning south of Alton. 21 year old Kaylee Arasmith died in the accident and 43 year old Lillian Otyson, 20 year old Quentin Stevens and 77 year old Barbara Watson all of Thayer all suffered serious injuries. The Highway patrol reports that the cars driven by Otyson and Arasmith met near the center of the highway and hit head-on. Both Otyson and Stevens were flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Watson was taken to OMC then flown to Cox South In Springfield. The Accident happened about three miles south of Alton Of Highway 19 just before 11 Friday morning. Highway 19 was closed for several hours while emergency personnel worked the accident.
