A Mountain Home woman is facing charges after she tried to smuggle drugs and tobacco into the Baxter County Detention Center.

36-year-old Shelby Malone was arrested Wednesday and is facing charges of delivery of methamphetamine, delivery of a schedule III substance, and furnishing, possessing, or using prohibited articles.

According to the probable cause affidavit, both Malone and Sean Ford attempted to smuggle loose tobacco, methamphetamine, buprenorphine, and naloxone to Baxter County inmate Ryan Eberly.

A suspect identified as Ford entered the detention center dropping off a Walmart photo envelope to be delivered to Eberly.

That’s when authorities searched the envelope and found 1.56 grams of meth and 2.78 grams of loose tobacco.
