Fulton County Sheriff’s Office reporting drug bust, arrest

The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a drug bust with arrests on Saturday. 

According to a probable cause affidavit, 51-year-old James Dennis was stopped by Sheriff’s Deputy Blair Ables in Mammoth Spring on Highway 9N. 

Deputy Ables noted that the man was acting erratic and appeared to be under the influence. 

Dennis admitted that he recently smoked methamphetamine inside his vehicle. 

After a search of the vehicle, Deputy Ables discovered one .223 caliber rifle, one .40 caliber handgun, three large glass vials each containing a large amount of methamphetamine, one set of digital scales, and two glass smoking devices. 

Dennis was then placed under arrest after the search of his vehicle. 

He is facing charges for felony simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, felony possession of with the purpose of distributing meth cocaine of more than 10 grams, but less than 200, felony possession of a firearm by certain persons, and felony possession of drug paraphernalia of meth, cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl. 

Dennis is being held in the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office on a $10,000 bond.
