On October 12, 2021 at 5:33 p.m., Central Dispatch received a 911 call of a deceased
female at #18 St John’s Apartments in Cave City.
Spring River Ambulance, Cave City Fire
Department, Cave City Police Department and he Sharp County Sheriffs Department
responded to the scene.
Upon Officers arrival, found 21 year old Katelyn Hodges deceased
inside a residence belonging to lames Thompson.
The body of the deceased has been sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s office
for an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.
The renter of the residence,
James Thorpson was arrested on an unrelated offense and transported to the Sharp
County Jail.
This is an ongoing investigation, by the Cave Cly Police Depattment and the Sharp County
Sheriff’s Department and more details will be released when they become available.
