The West Plains Chamber of Commerce held their Fall Legislative Update, bringing State Senator Karla Eslinger and Representative David Evans to update the group on what they have been doing in the past year.
Representative Evans touched on multiple topics, including the gas tax the state has just implemented and questioned the results from the 2020 census.
Senator Karla Esslinger spoke on multiple topics, but her main point was making a better future for everyone’s kids and grandkids.
One way to do that is to bring jobs, improved infrastructure, and business to small towns.
Senator Esslinger also commended the Thayer TBA Association for attempting to improve the area and said she shows her full support for bringing jobs and business to the area.
