Baxter County authorities are searching for a man who fled from police in a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was later found abandoned between Gepp and Viola in Fulton County. Investigators served a search warrant at 5647 Hwy 5 South at 3:16 PM Monday looking for stolen property. Investigators arrested 37-year-old J.D. Comstock, but he fled on foot. An Investigator gave chase, but fell and was injured. A canine team from the North Central Unit of the ADC at Calico Rock tracked the suspect to a residence on Old Tracy Road, where it was discovered he had stolen a vehicle.
Comstock has ties to Fulton County and Izard County. He will face multiple charges in Baxter County when apprehended.
