On June 22nd, 2022 at approximately 1849 hours, Thayer Police Department received a call from a male subject who appeared to have been assaulted. It was reported that the male subject could be located at 14616 US 63, at the Valero Gas Station. Officers with the Thayer Police Department and a Trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the area and located the male subject. Upon investigation, the male subject was identified as Jason Madrid Jones, 42, of Strawberry, Arkansas. Officers were able to determine that Mr. Jones had been assaulted in the State of Arkansas, but Jones did not wish to pursue charges in the matter. Jones declined medical treatment at the scene. An inquiry revealed that Jones was wanted on a Parole Absconder warrant out of the State of Arkansas. Jones was placed under arrest without incident and was transported to Thayer Police Department for booking. Jones is being held without bond, awaiting extradition to the State of Arkansas.
