The Thayer City Council met Tuesday night at City Hall for the regular monthly meeting. The City Council accepted the certified election results. Then, Mayor Ken Cotham swore in City Clerk Brent Collins, and then the newly elected officials were sworn in, the Council then re-appointed Justin Nelson as City Attorney, Daryl Childers as Chief of Police, Mark Arnold as Fire Chief, and EMA Director. The City Council elected Kenneth McKenzie as Mayor Pro-Tem, Janice Tolar was re-appointed as Treasurer, and Councilmen, Dirk Schultz and Mark Bryant were appointed to serve on the Oregon County Recycle Board, The City council also discussed purchasing a manhole gas tester and agreed to purchase one. The Council approved sending the City Clerk to the annual MACA Conference in May, they approve a list of SCADA replacement parts for the Water and Sewer departments. The City Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month at City Hall.
