Tuesday, 35-year-old Amanda Young, of Ava, was arrested in Douglas County while attending court.
Lt. Nelson was investigating after receiving a report that Young had taken out an online loan of $ 1,300 in another person’s name. A warrant was obtained for Young for Forgery, stealing over $750, and Identity Theft. Bond was set at $10,000 cash only.
At the time Young was arrested, she was in court for a prior case that occurred in November of 2025 for 4 felony charges of Fraudulent use of a credit device and misdemeanor stealing.
On the November 2025 case, Young was indicted by a Douglas County Grand Jury with a warrant issued and bond being set at $5000 cash only on November 13, 2025. On November 25, 2025, Young was released on her own recognizance.
Young was also arrested in November of 2022 for 12 counts of Forgery and 1 count of Stealing over $750 from the Douglas County Fair Board.
Young is still currently incarcerated in the Douglas County Jail
