The National Weather Service is now saying that an EF 1 Tornado touched down last Thursday in Sharp County. The NWS estimates wind speeds of up to 90 mph with the storm. The Tornado touched down about 4 miles northeast of Evening Shade and was on the ground for 5.67 miles. Large trees and power poles were damaged. Minor Damage was also done to a home and outbuildings as the Mashburn Farm. No injuries were reported with the storm.
