District baseball tournaments continue today around the region. Yesterday, the Alton Comets knocked off the Thayer Bobcats in the District 2 tourny in Van Buren. Alton advances to the semi-finals today against Ellington at 4:00. Neelyville plays Naylor in the other semi at 2:00.
In Class 1 District 5 at Dora, Dora beat Koshkonong 16-2 and Bakersfield defeated Bradleyville 13-3 to set up a Bakersfield vs Dora Championship game today.
In the Class 1 District 4 the Championship game is today at 3:00, Eminence will play Summersville.
In Class 3, District 10 semi-finals yesterday Ava beat Cabool 5-1 and Mountain Grove was a winner over Licking 7-4. Ava plays Mountain Grove for the championship today at 5:00.
