
Sheriff’s departments in Independence and Jackson County teamed up to rescue a man from a flooded road and the man allegedly drove around warning signs. The Sheriff’s office reports that the man whose name has not been released drove around barricades on state highway 37 southeast of Cord and into the Black River. There were warning signs up both in Independence and Jackson County not to drive through the area because the road is under water. The man was issued three citations by the Arkansas State Police, one for each sign he ignored.
