20-year-old Jacob Hearne is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, and second-degree arson. Hearne was arrested in April of 2022 after his grandmother, 62-year-old Phyllis Schweinel was found dead in her burned home in Mountain View. The trial for Hearne is set for May 10th in Phelps County on a change of venue from Howell County.
